MK2 AR15 Ambi Charging Handle, Medium Latch

Overview

The BCM® MK2 Ambidextrous Charging Handle is an improved, combat-proven charging handle for Mil‑Spec AR‑15 / M4 / M16 direct-impingement weapon systems. Designed from feedback gained in real-world operations, the MK2 provides snag‑free contours, ambidextrous controls, robust construction, and improved gas diversion for a safer, more reliable immediate action.

Product Features

  • Ambidextrous design for easy manipulation from either side.

  • Medium latch extends approximately 0.92" past the main body for positive tactile access.

  • Optimized snag‑free profile for fast, confident operation with an end‑user reaction grip.

  • Upper, lower, and side exhaust channels vent gas away from the shooter (optimized for BCM MK2 uppers).

  • Redesigned pivot and engagement geometry to eliminate pivot‑pin load and reduce pinch points.

  • Crafted from MIL‑SPEC forgings and machined from 7075 T6 aluminum.

  • Hard‑coat anodized finish per Mil‑A‑8625F, Type III, Class 2.

  • Made in the United States.

Compatibility & Notes

  • Compatible with Mil‑Spec AR‑15 Direct Impingement Weapon Systems (M4/M16/AR‑15).

  • NOT compatible with adjustable gas keyed bolt carrier groups. (Important)

  • Works with Mil‑Spec upper receivers; exhaust channels are optimized for BCM MK2 uppers but still improve gas diversion on other Mil‑Spec uppers.

  • A large MK2 Ambi version is also available.

Performance & Safety

  • Engineered to keep charging energy close to the rifle’s centerline for reliable manipulation under stress.

  • Continuous engagement surface with no skin‑catching pinch points — designed to minimize malfunctions during life‑critical manipulations.

  • Patented ambidextrous mechanism simplified for robust, long‑term performance.

Applications

Ideal for military, law‑enforcement, and civilian users who want a combat‑optimized, ambidextrous charging handle that improves immediate action performance and reduces gas exposure to the shooter.
